Its high solubility allows it to effectively bind with phosphorus, making it a reactive flame retardant for polyurethane; It can produce flame-retardant elastomers with aminoethyl groups through its monohydroxy functional reaction; Its high bromine content and good solubility can improve its flame retardancy when applied to hard or soft polyurethane; It can be used in combination with dibromonepentanol to fully utilize their hydroxyl function.
